Responsible Use

This page is not boilerplate. It explains what our numbers are, what they are not, and where we draw the line — because a statistical model presented carelessly can do real damage to the person reading it.

1. What ScorePredicts is

ScorePredicts is a football statistics and predictive modelling platform. We apply statistical models to historical and current match data and publish the results: probabilities, expected goals, form indicators and comparisons against publicly available market pricing.

It is provided for information and entertainment purposes. It is a tool for understanding football more analytically. It is not a service that tells you what to do.

2. Age requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or hold a subscription. If the law where you live sets a higher age for services of this kind, that higher age applies to you.

3. What our numbers actually mean

This is the most important section on the page, and the one most often misread.

When the model shows 70% for an outcome, it means the model calculates a 70% chance of that outcome. It does not mean the outcome will happen. It means that across many similar situations, roughly seven in ten would resolve that way — and roughly three in ten would not.

A well-calibrated model at 70% should be wrong about 30% of the time. If it were never wrong at 70%, the number would simply be incorrect. So:

• A high-probability prediction that fails is not evidence the model is broken. It is the expected behaviour of a probability.
• A low-probability prediction that lands is not evidence of insight either. Unlikely things happen constantly — that is what makes football worth watching.
• No single result, in either direction, tells you anything meaningful about model quality. Only large samples do.

Football is among the most genuinely unpredictable major sports. A deflection, a marginal offside call or one refereeing decision can overturn the most reasonable analysis. No model removes that, and any service claiming otherwise is misleading you.

4. How to read our accuracy figures

We publish historical accuracy because hiding it would be worse. But please read it for what it is.

• It describes past output only. Past performance is not an indication of future performance.
• It is measured across a large sample. Your personal experience over a handful of matches may look nothing like it, and that is normal.
• It is not a projection, a target, or anything you should treat as a rate you will personally experience.

5. What we will never do

• We do not accept, place, process, broker or settle wagers of any kind, and we never hold funds for that purpose.
• We do not run contests or competitions with monetary or material prizes.
• We do not partner with, advertise for, or link to bookmakers, and we take no commission from anyone based on what you do after reading a prediction.
• We do not give betting, financial or investment advice, and we will not do so if you ask us directly by email.
• We do not tell you how much to risk. You will not find stake sizing, bankroll instructions or anything resembling them anywhere on this platform, because that is exactly the kind of feature that turns analysis into pressure.
• We do not guarantee outcomes, promise profit, or advertise returns. Anyone who does is selling you something other than statistics.

6. Using the platform sensibly

• Treat a prediction as one input, not a verdict. Read the reasoning, the form, the absences and the context — not just the headline percentage.
• Do not chase. If you find yourself reacting to a result by immediately looking for the next thing, step away from the screen instead. That impulse is the single most reliable signal that something has stopped being recreational.
• Keep your expectations proportionate. Better information improves your understanding of a match. It does not make uncertainty disappear, and it never will.
• Never commit money you would be troubled to lose to any activity, on the basis of anything you read here or anywhere else.
• Watch the time. If you are spending longer on analysis than you intended, or returning to it compulsively, that matters more than whether any given prediction was right.

7. If it stops being enjoyable

Following football should be enjoyable. If it starts to feel like pressure — if you are anxious about results, hiding how much time or money is involved, or chasing losses — that is worth taking seriously, early, before it becomes harder to address.

8. Your local law

Laws covering sports data, predictions and related activity differ by country and sometimes by region within a country. It is your responsibility to ensure that your use of this platform is lawful where you are.
